About Us
The plushly decorated interior with its panoramic windows and rooftop deck make it the perfect setting for parties, business meetings, bridal showers, weddings, receptions, and events of all kinds. A cruise on Chablis will be a lasting memory. We are now boarding between Great American Fish Co. and Lil Hut Fish & Chips; on the north end of the Embarcadero.
The owners of Big Rock Charters, LLC and the Chablis are Annie Clapp, Shasta Rouch Birkey, and Patti Rouch. Our Executive Chef, Rodney Clapp, married Annie after they met at cooking school. Both are classically trained in front-of-the-house and kitchen management. Shasta is retired from the armed forces after serving 20 years with the US Navy. Annie and Rodney have four children. There is a good chance you will see one or more, as you enjoy the Chablis, where they frequently help out. The Chablis was delivered from its previous home in San Francisco Bay on April 5, 2007.
Big Rock Charters, LLC is a member of the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce and the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Conference Bureau.

Rodney and Annie Clapp
Team Clapp
Rodney is a Wisconsin native with Green and Gold running through his veins. His favorite food is something with meat, potatoes, and beer but not necessarily in that order. He is the proud father of 4 children ranging in age from 28 to 16. He and Annie have been married since 1993.

Co-Owner Patti Rouch
The voice on the phone…
Patti retired as a nurse practitioner in 2017 and is the proud mother of the other two owners. If you have called us, chances are you have spoken with Patti. She is the voice on the other end of the line with all the answers to your questions and the details about public and private charters. Her phone is a (559) number, so if you are looking for information about the Chablis you may want to answer that call from the Central Valley.
Co-Owner Shasta Birkey
A truly amazing super woman
Shasta is marvelous. She is a retired Navy diver, (we have yet to have her scrape our hull though). She is smart as a whip and has an incredible sense of humor. Shasta is married to Captain America and they have two rambunctious boys who desperately want to take a turn at the helm!
Zoe Andres
She is like a little redhead energizer bunny!
If you like the Chablis, you can thank this woman. The Chablis was the brainchild of ZoeAnn.
Originally a partner on the Chablis, she is now an awesome crew member!
Paul Andres
Future Captain Extraordinaire!
You will often find Paul in the wheelhouse. He has a great talent of reading the wind and current which makes for a Great operator! He is the fine husband of Zoe and Pop of Avery, Braden, and Cameron.
Samuel Clapp
Our little Clapp!
We are grooming Samuel to become an integral part of our outfit! As always he started as a dishwasher and is training to be an expert waffle maker! His attitude is great and he is a really hard worker.
